Stationed at Otis AFB with the Military Police, then spent a couple of years as an Officer's Cook. He was stationed in Turkey during Desert Storm. Abe was discharged in 1998 as a Sergeant.

He is married to Jill Power of Utopia and has one child, daughter Abby.
