The Department recently received  BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider training. This 4-1/2 hour course is designed to provide the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. This training was provided by Kris Ahrens and Gary Davis of the Utopia EMS. 

The department has just acquired an AED to keep on the small fire truck.
